JAGADISHCHANDRA BOSE
Acharya Jagadishchandra Bose was a great scientist. He was born on November 30,1858 in Dacca now in Bangladesh.His schooling was completed at Faridpur. He was next admitted to St. Xavier's College in Kolkata. He got the BA degree from the University of Kolkata. He went to England For higher studies. He did his BSc and DSc from London. Sri Bose became a professor of the presidency college. He was famous for his work on wireless. It led to the invention of radio. He was the founder of the radio. He was the first to show that plants and metals feel and suffer pain as we do. Sri J.C. Bose set up the 'Bose Institute' in Kolkata. His "Abyakta Jiban' shows the gift of his literary skill. He was a saint of science. Such a great son of Bengal passed away on 23rd November,1937.
