Computers In Everyday Life
Though the introduction of computers in India is very recent, their usage is already very vast. Today different types of computers control different parts of our daily life. Computer models are used to predict weather of a short time. They are used for editing our morning newspapers and other books. Microwave machines and washing machines which are the most basic types of computers are seen in plenty in households. TV and radio channels are controlled by computers. Airways and railways use computerised reservation system. In factories, hard manual labour is done by automatic machines and offices use computers for tough calculations and other works. But, sadly, the usages of computers are still confined to urban lifestyle and far from reaching the rural areas.
